Motion Graphics vs. Interactive Graphics

1. Motion graphics are videos of moving infographics. I’d like to believe that motion graphics would grow in popularity along with interactive infographics. I think both have a benefit. Motion graphics can provide a lot of data visually very quickly in about a two-minute video. On the other hand, interactive graphics can provide much more data and allows the user of the graphic to explore.

2. Below is a clever motion graphic about motion graphics:

Ironically, it’s not the best video information graphic, I’ve ever seen. It doesn’t have as much data to present but more of a concept: the concept of motion graphics. However, it is very visually appealing and conveys the idea well, giving many examples visually.
